The Route 206 Seven Rivers Scenic Trail is a

Win-Win Proposition!

Some 30,000 people live along the Route 206 Corridor. It is directly served by almost 2,000 businesses, many of which depend upon visitors to the area. Visitors are attracted by the scenic and natural character, the history, the Village Main Streets and relaxed lifestyle of the Corridor.

The Scenic Corridor Proposal calls for new promotion and signage to persuade more visitors to travel and explore the scenic trail, to patronize our unique events and retail businesses.

*It will encourage new ongoing events and attractions.

*It will include a Corridor economic development plan to entice more services to replace those which have been lost, bring in new and expanded businesses, and more jobs.

* It will provide a Corridor Management plan to maintain and preserve those unique qualities of the 206 Corridor that appeal to visitors and residents alike, our pure air and water, natural resources, historical and archeological heritage, recreational opportunities, farms and principal industries.

*It will discourage the creeping over-development that fouls the appearance and environment of nearby areas, and could almost overnight do the same to ours. It will aid and protect our natural resource industries, lumber and bluestone, from un-needed federal and state requirements that cripple expansion.

The Corridor Plan does not impose any "regulations." All regulation is the responsibility of our local Town governments.

Everybody wins: our visitors, our business and employment environment, our natural resource industries, and most of all, ourselves and future generations, who want to keep the 206 Seven Rivers Corridor. as liveable and beautiful as it is today.

Your individual support is not just important, it is necessary.
